WARNING ABOUT CONCRETE BASES
When installing a 1.4 1.9 2.4 or 3.1 satellite dishes on the ground we always use a concrete base so that the dish will not move in high winds causing loss of signal. There are various ways to create a suitable concrete base although after extensive research we have found that injection molded concrete blocks that are manufactured using the electro hydraulic process will never fail and because of the high level of quality control we are able to offer a ten year guarantee on all of our concrete bases. Do not take the risk with hand mixed concrete bases as they will eventually fail as they are not designed to allow water to drain away effectively this then causes the concrete base to fail. The weather in Spain does not help as we have incredibly hot summers and very cold winters and when it rains it really comes down in heavy rain fall, because of this we only use concrete that has been manufactured under stringent EEC approved guidelines.

AVOID HAND MIXED CONCRETE PLINTHS
Some engineers will construct a wooden frame and then poor hand mixed concrete in to the frame and leave it to set. These types of concrete bases allow water to sit on the surface causing the concrete base to eventually fail. You simply cannot hand mix concrete to the same standard as our concrete feet that we use to secure our dishes. You will find that some engineers will insist that the plinth is the best option, perhaps for them as all they need is a bag of concrete and some sand.

As you can see we create a deep hole that we then fill with concrete to create a foundation to support the 2.4 or 3.1 dish we also use a similar system when installing the 1.9 satellite dish.
You can see the concrete feet that we use on this photo with the yacht, for obvious reasons using these blocks are perfect for mounting any satellite dish both safely and securely using special German expander bolts that offer the best possible fixing.

Unless water can drain away you will eventually have a problem, all of our concrete bases are GUARANTEED FOR 10 YEARS. the big heavy kerb stones we use will never fail or crumble unlike hand mixed concrete or cement, due to hot summers, cold winters and rainy spells the only 100% reliable way of securing a dish is with Commercial grade concrete manufactured in a factory not hand mixed in your garden. The concrete that we use to secure your new satellite dish is manufactured to such a high standard as they have to withstand cars smashing in to them at high speeds, we use the highest grade of concrete that is used on the kerb stones on roundabouts.
We have seen many hand mixed on site concrete bases that have simply been reduced to dust after just 2-3 years so do not take the risk and insist on a professionally manufactured concrete base.
All of the concrete blocks we use are manufactured using an electro hydraulic process which uses both vibration and compaction in high precision steel moulds to deliver very heavy concrete blocks that will never fail. We have been using these blocks for many years and whilst it may mean having two people to carry we are guaranteed that the dish is safe & secure.

We recently had to install a community satellite system in Benidorm on the Costa Blanca of Spain, the dish had to be mounted on top of the building above the lift shaft on a flat roof we used a combination of six large kerb stones and super strong taco that is a synthetic liquid concrete that bonded the blocks to the roof we then used concrete to to cover the blocks.
All our bases are guaranteed for ten years. As you can see looking at the photo on the left we have created a concrete foundation and then as the concrete is starting to set we place two of the kerb stones in the concrete this system is perfect for mounting a 1.9 dish ion a garden on the grass. It takes half a day to set up and build the concrete foundation, we then returned 3 days later to fit the dish, you will also notice that the base sits just above the ground with the slanting edges facing outwards to allow water to drain away. We also covered the exposed concrete that was used to create the concrete foundation with gravel in order to protect the concrete below and creates a better looking job, the owner of the property has since planted a couple of plants to the left of the dish that will grow to around 6ft helping to disguise the dish so that will not be visible from the swimming pool and terrace.
